We believe art (and websites) should be felt by everyone—literally and otherwise.
🧵 Who we are
Public Domane, LLC abn Public Domane / Publ!c Domane / P.D. Tufts / PD! / Domane Studio is an independent studio offering handmade rugs, textile art, and good design with good intentions. Our website is for showcasing and selling this work and the address is: https://publicdomane.com.
♿️ our statement
At Publ!c Domane, we’re committed to making our website accessible to as many humans as possible—regardless of how they navigate, hear, see, scroll, click, or tap. Whether you’re using a screen reader, voice navigation, keyboard-only browsing, or sheer willpower, we want the experience to work for you.
We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, because the internet shouldn’t feel like an exclusive gallery opening. That means we’re doing our best to:
- Use clear structure and readable fonts
- Add image alt text (yes, even on the weird stuff)
- Keep buttons and forms navigable by keyboard
- Avoid color combos that make your eyes scream
- Test for compatibility with screen readers and assistive tech
We’re not perfect—yet. Accessibility is an ongoing process, just like our rug ideas. If you run into any barriers, please let us know at [email protected]. We’ll try to fix it faster than we can thread a tufting needle (which is pretty fast, tbh).
Thanks for being here and making us better.
✂️ TL;DR
We’re doing our best to make this site usable for everyone, no matter how you browse. If something’s inaccessible, broken, or just plain annoying—tell us. We’ll fix it and try not to make it weird.
🔁 Changes to THIS STATEMENT
We might freshen this page from time to time—maybe for legal reasons, maybe because we learned something new, or maybe just because we like clarity. When we do, we’ll update the date at the top. If you’re still browsing after that, we’ll take it as a thumbs-up.
